The Granary Burying Grounds are located in downtown Boston, just a block east from Boston Common.
The Grounds are along The Freedom Trail and are the final resting place of over 5,000 individuals. Among them are John Hancock, Samuel Adams, and Robert Treat Paine-all signers of the American Declaration of Independence. Paul Revere is also buried here and his house is also on the Freedom Trail.
Other notable burials include Crispus Attucks and the other victims of the Boston Massacre and Peter Faneuil, who Faneuil Hall was named for.
The Granary Burying Ground is just one stop on the trail, which you can either walk individually as a self-guided tour or one of a number of guided tours.
