[K-Beauty] Mise En Scene Damage Care Line - Korean Hair Care

I thought I'd introduce you to two of my favorite hair care products from Korea - both are from the damage care line of Mise En Scene.

I have already introduced the 2-in-1 Mist in the past, but I thought I'd give info again now!

Whenever I go to Korea, I always pick up a few of each because I haven't really found an American product that makes my hair feel as good.

I'm sure some of the ingredients aren't natural and aren't good for all people, but this is just what I found to work for me.

I first started using the Damage Care 2-in-1 mist when I was studying abroad in 2010. It was me and my roommate's go-to items for our hair. I had an unfortunate run-in with a midlife crisis hair perm, so I needed all the help I could get from a damage care product.

The important thing to remember about the 2-in-1 mist is that it separates, so make sure you do a little bit of mixing before spraying.

The scent is quite light and definitely not overwhelming. It's not a hair perfume.

I don't dry or straighten my hair, so I don't suffer from heat damage and I don't dye or perm my hair anymore, but my hair just never recovered from that perm almost a decade ago. My hair is more on the dry side, so I don't really need this product anymore for the "damage" portion, but I have found that my hair feels much better after spritzing this in it.

So, this treatment product is my 100% go-to-product.

When I was living in Korea, I didn't replenish my stock because I was working so much. My hair got really dry and frizzy at the ends.

I finally had a free evening (as in I got back into Seoul before the next day) and I stopped at the Olive Young next to my shuttle bus stop. I picked up this on a 1+1 special.

When I used it the next day, I got so many compliments from my colleagues about how great my hair looked. After I came back to America and used up my stockpile, I definitely felt my hair go back to its dry self (especially at the ends). I picked up some refills during my last trip to Seoul and regained my smooth hair.

So, I requested a friend to bring some for me when she visited New York so I will hopefully not run out again for a while.

I only use this treatment about 2-3 times per week. The trick is to make sure you let it sit in your hair for a while before rinsing it out. After I use it, my hair feels much smoother, silkier, and more hydrated.

Again, I don't have "damaged" hair, I just have dry hair and this still does the trick. If you've been trying too long to find a product to help your hair, definitely check it out. The price point is pretty low and you only need a little bit every day.
