[Philadelphia] Puyero Venezuelan Flavor - Patacon Pisao (Venezuelan Sandwich)

Patacon Pisao from Puyero Venezuelan Flavor in Philadelphia is great!

After a somewhat disappointing Philly Cheesesteak experience, we decided we needed to get something with flavor.

We had walked past Puyero Venezuelan Flavor on our way to the Philly cheesesteak destination and had made a mental note to go back to try it out, but we didn't realize it was going to be so soon.

Definitely recommend checking it out the next time you're in Philadelphia.

The "bread" of this sandwich is made of fried green plantains.

The fillings of this sandwich include shredded chicken (you can also choose to have shredded beef instead), thinly sliced ham, gouda, other shredded white cheese, cabbage, ketchup, green mayo, and yellow mustard.

If you're not that into meat, there's also a vegetable version on the menu.

This is a hefty sandwich and so much more filling than the Philly Cheesesteak. For only $9.25, definitely check it out!

If you want even more sauce, definitely check out the table sauces. You can add some Sriracha Pink Sauce, more Green Mayo, and there are other sauces available upon request.

The full menu is below.

I wish I would have tried some of the arepas and some of the drinks (everyone, except us, ordered one, so I felt left out).
