[Seoul - SNU] Kim Seonsaeng - Premium kimbap and mandu 바르다 김선생

This is one of my favorite premium kimbap places - Kim Seonsaeng, or how my Norwegian friend and I refer to it, KIM TEACHER.

Its full name is 바르다 김선생. It's a national chain, so you should be able to find it other places.

This was one of the first kimbap stores to introduce cream cheese kimbap on the scene.

The cream cheese kimbap has carrots, cucumbers, pickled radish, and the stars of the roll are cream cheese and walnut. It is 4500 KRW.

The other great kimbap is the spicy jeyuk (spicy pork) kimbap. 매운 제육 김밥 (4500 KRW).
It is filled with spicy pork, carrots, perilla/kkaenip/sesame leaves, and pickled radish.

The cream cheese roll is more of a creamy roll, so the spicy pork kimbap balances out the flavors well.

If you want to try other food, Kim Seonsaeng also sells rice bowls, noodles, and mandu.

The best part is that they have hot tea available for free.

It's also a great place to get takeout and it's very portable.
