[Seoul - Gangnam] Brotherhood Kitchen - Chicken and Waffles,Chicken and Chili Rice, Hasselback Potatoes

My friends and I recently went to Brotherhood Kitchen in Gangnam for brunch.

It's a pretty new place, but is already gaining popularity quickly.

It's kind of hard to find a good brunch place, but brunch is becoming more and more of a "thing" among young Seoulites, so it isn't as difficult as it was a couple of years ago.

We met at 11 AM and got to the restaurant at about 11:20 (?). At that time, there were only like 4 people in the restaurant (other than the staff). However, as noon came and passed, the crowd definitely started to gather and there was a large wait.

The restaurant interior is cute. So sorry, I forgot to take a picture.
There's about 45-50 seats available. Including a large sort of communal table sort of set up to the left of the counter.

The menu is "American comfort food." One of my friends and I were most excited to try the chicken & waffles. One of the other items that seemed intriguing was the grilled chicken & chili rice. We also decided to get the hasselback potatoes

Grilled Chicken & Chili Rice - 12,000 KRW
We were pleasantly surprised that the chicken was bone-in.
The chili was good, not spicy at all and the rice was well-seasoned. I would recommend this one.

Chicken & Waffles - 14,000 KRW
This was one of the menu items I planned on eating after seeing the menu online.
Compared to the chicken & waffles from Double Trouble, also in Gangnam, the one at Brotherhood Kitchen was much more flavorful. It is also twice the size.
At both places, the cheese sauce was slightly off-putting, but it is Korea...so, gotta go with it.

The syrup is homemade cinnamon syrup, btw.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Hasselback Potatoes - 12,000 KRW
So, you know how I loveeeee potato chips, so I had to try these. Since I don't have an oven in my Korean house, I can't make my own.
You get a mountain of potatoes. They sit atop a scoop of chili and, in the middle of the mountain (it's hollow), there's some of the cheese sauce that tops the chicken & waffles.

Verdict: All in all, the three items we got were a perfect combination. For the three of us, we had the perfect amount of food.
I would probably want to go back and try some of the other items, perhaps even at dinner time.

Other popular items:
Looking around, the most popular items among the Korean clientele were the chicken & waffles, Havana corn, and the Texas bacon steak.

Location:
Here's a handy dandy cartoon map that they provide by the cash register (there's also a 3,000 KRW coupon for your next visit...YAY)

You can access it either from the Shinnohyun Station (line 9) exit 5. Or, from Gangnam Station (line 2, Shinbundang) exit 11.

For your ease, you can copy/paste this into your map app:

[Skincare Review] Head-to-Head Test: Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair vs. La Mer The Concentrate

As promised, here is my blog comparing the Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair vs. the La Mer The Concentrate. FTC disclaimer: I was sent both of these items for free in exchange for my full and honest review. I tried to be as scientific as humanly possible. I had a blinded reviewer (my mom) who was actually unaware I was even doing a skincare test, so her opinion is completely blinded and she tried really hard to give a full and honest review of differences she noticed. I did this for 2 weeks. In the 14 days before the test, I was testing out the Estee Lauder ANP product in exchange for my review. I had enough product left (and actually received a second sample to test).
