NYC Trip Recap

Hi,
Quick recap of my trip to New York City.
It was a crazy whirlwind of a trip. Had so much to do, people to see, and, on top of that, there was a 14-hour time difference (thank you daylight savings time).

I managed to go to almost all of the boroughs. I spent most of my time in Manhattan, but also managed to go to Brooklyn, Queens, and the Bronx.

The Bronx barely counts. I just went there to go to Target to buy toothpaste and vitamins. As stupid as it sounds, the thing I miss the most while in Korea is American toothpaste. I haven't quite gotten desperate enough to get a Costco membership, but I can feel that may happen soon enough, especially if I stay here much longer.

Question: When you are abroad, what do you miss the most?
For me, Target, toothpaste with fluoride, and reasonably priced vitamins.

Some observations:
1. My culture shock started at the Incheon Airport. I forgot that every middle-aged white man generally dresses like my dad. It's like all 60-something American men buy the same clothes from the same stores (aka. checked button-front shirts and khakis from Target).

2. Delta was not as bad as it usually does. But...maybe it was also because I got a really good deal, so I feel like I was willing to put up with a lot after only paying about 600 USD for a roundtrip ticket.

3. The Detroit airport is clean! However, it seems very empty most of the time!

4. Supershuttle is REALLY unreliable from the LaGuardia airport. I was quoted 20 minutes wait-time, but it took them 78 minutes! I am still waiting to hear from customer service if I am getting a partial refund.

5. Americans are very friendly. Koreans are all standoffish with strangers, but the other travelers in the Supershuttle were super friendly, but not in a super obtrusive way.

6. Cities change so quickly! But, some stuff stays the same.

[Skincare Review] Head-to-Head Test: Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair vs. La Mer The Concentrate

As promised, here is my blog comparing the Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair vs. the La Mer The Concentrate. FTC disclaimer: I was sent both of these items for free in exchange for my full and honest review. I tried to be as scientific as humanly possible. I had a blinded reviewer (my mom) who was actually unaware I was even doing a skincare test, so her opinion is completely blinded and she tried really hard to give a full and honest review of differences she noticed. I did this for 2 weeks. In the 14 days before the test, I was testing out the Estee Lauder ANP product in exchange for my review. I had enough product left (and actually received a second sample to test). My nighttime skincare routine was the same as usual. 1) DHC Cleansing Oil - Buy from YesStyle | Buy from Amazon 2) Micellar Water (for eye makeup) 3) Rosette Cleansing Paste Sea Clay Smooth - Buy From YesStyle  | Buy from Amazon I used my PMD Clean (from CAUSEBOX) to wash my face.
