[Seoul - Dongdaemun] Remicone Thunder Bomb Ice Cream (Dongdaemun Doota Location)

My friend and I stopped by Dongdaemun after stopping at Gwangjang Market for bindaedduk to get Remicone's crazy photogenic Thunderbomb Ice Cream at its Doota location.

UPDATE APRIL 2017: The Dongdaemun Doota location has closed and it is now a Shake Shack. You can still find Remicone in Garosugil.

As you can see, the ice cream is not cheap, but the presentation is top notch.
It's definitely one of those "eat it for the Insta" moments and as a treat.

There is this cute display of all the "Special Menu" items, as well as the specialty add-ons.

The menu is a little complicated if you want to make your own creation, otherwise you can just opt for one of the specialty items.

There are three soft serve flavors to choose from (milk cream, salted caramel, chocolate). The add-ons range in price from 500KRW~1800KRW.

Watching the workers make the Thunder Bomb is one of the most interesting parts of the experience. They actually spin the "cotton thunder" to order, so each one made is actually unique.

This is the finished product.
To eat it, after you're dong photographing it, you need to push the fluff down into the cup and stir it.

The "cotton thunder" is not only visually appealing, but also kind of fun to eat. They actually have popping rock candies in the fluff. So, as you eat it, it kind of seems like thunderbolts are going off in your mouth.

Apart from that, this is one of those fad items that are great every once in a while, but is overly sweet.

The ice cream is also quite smooth and would be great on its own, but with the ThunderBomb, you really only get a very small amount of actual ice cream, so in that regard, the ice cream is VERY expensive.

It's worth it for the experience, but don't think it'd be one of those items I go back time and time again for.

Location:
Dongdaemun Doota (Line 2, 4).

[Skincare Review] Head-to-Head Test: Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair vs. La Mer The Concentrate

As promised, here is my blog comparing the Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair vs. the La Mer The Concentrate. FTC disclaimer: I was sent both of these items for free in exchange for my full and honest review. I tried to be as scientific as humanly possible. I had a blinded reviewer (my mom) who was actually unaware I was even doing a skincare test, so her opinion is completely blinded and she tried really hard to give a full and honest review of differences she noticed. I did this for 2 weeks. In the 14 days before the test, I was testing out the Estee Lauder ANP product in exchange for my review. I had enough product left (and actually received a second sample to test). My nighttime skincare routine was the same as usual. 1) DHC Cleansing Oil - Buy from YesStyle | Buy from Amazon 2) Micellar Water (for eye makeup) 3) Rosette Cleansing Paste Sea Clay Smooth - Buy From YesStyle  | Buy from Amazon I used my PMD Clean (from CAUSEBOX) to wash my face.
