[Minneapolis - Downtown] Metropolitan Club at Target Field (Season Ticket Holders)

It's that time of year again! Baseball Season.
Wanted to introduce you Twins fans to the Metropolitan Club at Target Field.

The Metropolitan Club is only available to season ticket holders (who may bring a guest) and reservations are recommended (up to 2 weeks in advance).

See all my Target Field posts here to plan your trip to the Twins game (most posts have full menu pictures)!

The Twins have made the Metropolitan Club a "premium" experience. The dining room layout and ambiance proves this.

As is pretty common in Target Field, many of the ingredients/products are locally sourced and many local businesses are supported by the food here.

You order at the table and the waitstaff serves you, which is pretty great in a ballpark setting.
They have this "action station" sort of setup, which means it's kind of like a buffet, but your food is made-to-order. Otherwise, you can order off the a la carte menu, as we did.

I ordered the Ultimate Bloody Mary ($14). Apart from the hilarious "burger atop my bloody mary" factor, the flavor was super intense. The Metropolitan Club actually makes its own triple pepper inflused vodka and uses it in this drink.

Not only does this have a mini Met slider burger on top of it (which is pretty delicious, I may add...the beef is quite moist/tender and the fried onions add an extra dimension of flavor), but it also has a beef stick, cheese cubes, peppers, olives, and celery on a little skewer.

This is pretty much a meal in and of itself.

Since we had to eat a little more than just a bloody mary, we also got the Kramarczuk's Sausage Sampler ($10), Cheddar Burger ($13), and Wild Mushroom Pizza ($11, appears to no longer be available).

I really did enjoy the Wild Mushroom Pizza, so if you go and you find it on the menu, definitly get it! You can also specially order a Gluten-Free crust. Some of the mushrooms had a more rustic (?) flavor and some othe other mushrooms had a much more meaty texture. Sometimes, however, the truffle flavor was a bit overwhelming, so maybe avoid this pizza if you are not a huge truffle fan.

The burger was great, but probably a bit too much food for one person. It is a double burger, two quarter-pound hand-formed Angus beef patties topped with Wisconsin-sourced cheddar cheese, fried onions, and applewood-smoked bacon. The patty was still quite juicy, much like the slider on top of my bloody mary.

The Kramarczuk family must be quite happy with the Twins locally-sourced initiative. Most, if not all, of the sausages in Target Field come from Kramarczuk's. The sampler features 3 different, distinct flavors of sausage - Hungarian, Polish, and bratwurst, served alongside Dusseldorf and yellow mustard and some slices of local bread.

The prices are pretty comparable, if not cheaper, than other restaurants in the stadium.

The bloody mary, although slightly more expensive by volume, is made with higher quality ingredients and you can tell by the flavor.

Do not go here if you are in a rush. Because of the way they market the Club, we went in expecting a leisurely meal...and we got that.
This also meant that we missed the first pitch and the first couple of innings, even though we made reservations for about 1 hour prior to game time.

If you sit outside, you do get a good view of the field, but you also pay an additional fee...something to keep in mind. We went for the food and were okay missing part of the game (honestly, the Twins were REALLY not doing well at that point in the season).

To make a reservation, go to OpenTable and search "Metropolitan Club."
To gain entry, show either your SweetSpot card or else your season ticket game tickets. (This also means you can receive your SweetSpot discount, too.)

The Metropolitan Club is located on the Club Level at Target Field along right field between Gates 34 and 29.
To access the Metropolitan Club use the escalator or elevators located near Section 103 just inside Gate 29.
