[England Travel] Itinerary: 8 days in England (York, Cambridge, London, Nottingham)

My family is going to England for 8 days next week for my sister’s graduation from University of York. See other York, England posts.

I am in the process of making a very preliminary itinerary for our trip.
If you have a recommendation of what to do/see/eat, please leave a comment below.

England Travel Itinerary - Winter

We decided to buy the BritRail England Pass, 4 days (non-consecutive days) after doing some calculations about travel costs, etc. Since we are going in the end of January, the price is the “off-season” price. Although I am eligible for the youth pass, for some reason the website was not allowing me to purchase that…we had many issues with the website check-out process, so we just had to go with the option we were given.

TIP: Make sure to think about where you are going to be spending your time. We were initially thinking of getting the BritRail pass, but we decided to get the BritRail England pass since we were not that keen on going to Scotland or Wales. There are 7 different pass combinations available (http://www.britrail.net/passes)
