[NYC] The Met - Heavenly Bodies - Metropolitan Museum of Art

The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City (The Met) has an amazing exhibition going on right now (ends October 8 - sorry for the late notice) called Heavenly Bodies!

More than 1.3 million people have come through the Met to see Heavenly Bodies. I can definitely see why!

I'm not into high fashion or maybe even fashion in general (if you know me, you know that it's definitely the truth), but even I was blown away by the attention to detail in the pieces. If you're extremely into designer items, I will definitely say you need to RUN to the Met right now before the exhibition closes.

These are some of the shots I took during my visit.

These are the crazy high fashion, bling-y dresses that greet you when you enter the exhibition.

On the sides are some architectural and components of churches and other religious artifacts. Many of those items are usually in the museum, just not always in the same spot.
The men are not forgotten in the exhibition. There are some Catholic vestments from priests, archbishops, and the like.

I find these boxwood items to be crazy and fascinating. I can't believe that people can actually create these pieces to the level of detail that they do. I'm still amazed and the detail is not truly captured in the photo I took.

Now, these are the Catholic-inspired designer items. I took pictures of the descriptions in case you are curious and want more details. I won't bore you with my summary of the descriptions.
