[Minnesota - Clearwater] Nelson Bros Ginormous Caramel Rolls and Cinnamon Rolls

If you're ever in Minnesota, make sure you stop by the Clearwater exit off I-94 to stop at Nelson Bros.

Yes, it's basically a truck stop, but truckers have to eat and when they can treat themselves, they'll do it.

This is probably one of the weirdest posts I have ever made...but I guess it's a necessary one because it's one of those places you'd probably just drive past.

So, it's a HUGE travel plaza. There's a full service restaurant, gas station, convenience store, etc. There's also a HUGE bakery, full of HUGE baked goods.

These pictures don't really show the ginormous-osity of the rolls. Like the rolls are probably bigger than two of my fists...like you definitely can't eat one by yourself.

The baked goods are SUPER fresh. Judging by the smell of the bakery, it seems like they bake the items throughout the day so that it's always in stock. We stopped by around 9PM or 10, I think, for reference.

The rolls were both SUPER fresh. The bread part itself is not super sweet, so if you don't have a sweet tooth but your family wants to get some, you could always find parts without much frosting or caramel.

This is the cinnamon roll. This is not my favorite...I don't like white icing. I still tried it and it was quite good, but I don't think I'd get it again. I don't know the technical difference between caramel rolls and cinnamon rolls, other than the obvious different "sauce" topping, but for some reason cinnamon roll tops are kind of crunchier to me. So, that's why I prefer the caramel roll...that and also the...caramel component.

This is half...half of a caramel roll. I DEF recommend getting this. Even the next day, it was still quite fresh. If you're eating it a bit of time after buying it, you may want to put it in the microwave with a glass of warm water for like 15 seconds to make it ooey and gooey.

The crazy thing is...THESE ROLLS ARE $2.79 each!!!! I can't even imagine what the price would be in NYC.
